About

Evan Joel De Silva is a 20-year-old Eurasian guitarist and ukulele player, who is currently studying in School Of The Arts Singapore (SOTA). He started the ukulele at the age of 8, and went onto the guitar at the age of 14. He is mostly self-taught, and plays a range of genres such as RnB, jazz, soul, pop, and funk. He is an experienced performer, playing for numerous bands as well as performing solo acts both locally and overseas. He has competed and been crowned champion for several prestigious ukulele competitions, including the 8th Thailand International Ukulele Contest in 2020, and the Hiutale Finland International Ukulele Contest in 2022. He aims to pursue a career as a performing musician, and hopes to express his love for music to the people around him.

  8. Hi Evan. Your awesome. Love the Uke your playing on It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. What size and name brand is this? I really would like to purchase a an acoustic/electric you like yours that you’re playing on this song. The sound is fabulous!
