Evan Joel De Silva is a 21-year-old Eurasian guitarist and ukulele player from Singapore. Mostly self-taught, he started playing ukulele at age 8 before moving on to guitar at 13. Drawing influence from R&B, jazz, soul, pop, and funk, he has performed both locally and overseas as a solo artist and with various bands. Evan aspires to pursue a career in music while sharing his passion with others.
At the age of 13 in 2018, Evan enrolled in the School Of The Arts Singapore, under the David Marshal Scholarship. At age 17 in 2023, Evan chose to pursue the International Baccalaureate Career Programme (IBCP) — a fully focussed 2 year arts course which enabled him to further hone his craft.

Experiences
Evan has worked with multiple big names in the local industry of Singapore, from all different styles, such as Regina Song, Shye, Shazza, Hady Mirza, Heema Izzati and many others.
He has been Regina Song’s official guitarist for more than 4 years, performing alongside her and tracking guitars for her top hits, such as “The Cutest Pair” and many others. He has played at numerous festivals and events around the country and was part of Regina Song’s Southeast Asian Tour, “The Fangirl Tour” in January 2025. As the music director during the tour, he was responsible for the production of the live tracks behind the show on top of being the lead guitarist. He was also featured in The Wish Bus in Manila, operated by Wish 107.5 — a pioneering mobile radio booth famous for hosting live performances from local and international artists.

He also plays guitar for Shye regularly, performing with her at various events, including The Pinwheels Singapore Content Creator Awards Ceremony in 2024, and even following her to Manila to perform for the 2024 Asiya Music Festival.
